Mudtools Small Bowl Rib – Yellow Soft Polymer Pottery Rib for Clay - color: Yellow - Soft

About this item

• SHAPES BOWL INTERIORS IN ONE SWEEP — A tight curve at the front and a wide curve at the back let the Small Bowl Rib follow almost any radius, so you can compress and refine the inside of bowls, cups and rounded ceramics in a single pass.
• SOFT YELLOW POLYMER — One step firmer than Red. Yellow has the backbone to move clay and enough give to follow a curve, which makes it the everyday choice for smoothing bowl interiors in ceramics work.
• BURR-FREE POLYMER EDGE — Mudtools polymer resists wear and will not raise the burrs a cut plastic rib develops. With regular use the working edge burnishes smoother rather than rougher, so the rib stays kind to soft clay for years.
• WHEEL THROWING AND HAND BUILDING — Use it wet on the wheel to true a wall or pull a rim, or dry on slabs and coils to smooth and compress. Slim enough to pinch and steer with wet hands, and it rinses clean in seconds.
• FIVE FLEX GRADES, ONE SHAPE — Pink is Ultra Soft, Red Very Soft, Yellow Soft, Green Medium, Blue Firm. Match the flex to your clay body and to the stage of the pot, or keep more than one on the wheel head.
