Penguin Pottery - Ceramic Glaze - Mid-Fire Cone 5 & 6 - Specialty Series - Rusty's Red - 16 oz | 473 ml - color: Rusty's Red, size: 16 fl oz

About this item

• COLOR PROFILE - Rusty’s Red features a layered surface of deep reddish-brown, orange, and rust tones, with a mottled, finish. Golden yellow and olive highlights break through the red base, creating a dynamic, weathered appearance. Near the rim, the glaze transitions to a dark, almost black brown with hints of blue-green running down.
• CONE 5–6 MID-FIRE - Formulated for mid-fire kilns at cone 5 and cone 6 (about 2167–2232°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch.
• GLOSSY, OPAQUE FINISH - Fires to a smooth, glossy shine with solid, even color that fully covers the clay body underneath.
• READY TO BRUSH & LAYER - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Layer it over or under other glazes for new effects; test first, since thickness and firing change the result.
• ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing.
• CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists.
