About this item
- Pottery Ribs Built For Larger Work — At 5 inches wide, the Mudtools Shape 3 delivers a broad, sweeping stroke across the clay, making it the go-to choice for potters throwing larger bowls, platters, and wide-walled forms on the wheel.
- Balanced Control with Extending Reach: The size and profile give good contact across broad surfaces without sacrificing tactile feedback. It’s a dependable shaping tool whether you’re throwing, hand-building, or refining sculptural contours.
- Choose Your Flexibility: Available in five color-coded stiffness levels: Pink (Ultra Soft), Red (Very Soft), Yellow (Soft), Green (Medium), and Blue (Firm). Select the flex that matches your clay body, throwing style, and the level of pressure you work with.
- Signature Polymer Flexibility: Crafted from Mudtools’ unique flexible polymer that resists wear and burr formation, Shape 3 ribs become naturally burnished with general studio use.
- Made in the USA by Mudtools: Designed by potter Michael Sherrill and trusted by ceramic artists worldwide. Built to last, easy to clean, and comfortable in the hand—every studio needs at least one.
